Bianchet and Maserati Collaborate on a Limited Edition UltraFino Flying Tourbillon Carbon Watch

Bianchet and Maserati have joined forces to create a remarkable timepiece, the UltraFino Maserati Flying Tourbillon Carbon. This collaboration is a testament to the shared values of performance, precision, and intricate engineering found in both high-end automobiles and sophisticated horology. The watch, presented ahead of Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026, perfectly encapsulates Maserati's legacy of powerful, exquisitely designed vehicles and Bianchet's dedication to the Golden Ratio design philosophy. The result is a watch that doesn't merely borrow automotive aesthetics but rather reflects a deeper connection in their pursuit of excellence.

The Bianchet UltraFino Maserati draws direct inspiration from Maserati's MC20 supercar, a marvel powered by a twin-turbo Nettuno V6 engine. This automotive masterpiece, built on Formula 1 technology and a carbon-fiber structure, emphasizes lightness, balance, and advanced materials. Similarly, Bianchet's UT01 flying tourbillon movement, known for its thin, light, and stable characteristics, aligns with this ethos. The brand's prior UltraFino Carbon models have consistently prioritized wearer comfort and reduced weight, making this partnership a natural extension of their established principles.

The watch's design integrates subtle yet impactful references to the MC20. Its open-worked dial, lightweight construction, and tonneau-shaped case are hallmark features of the UltraFino collection, now enhanced with specific Maserati cues. The dial, for instance, mirrors the distinctive split-spoke design of the MC20's wheels. Furthermore, the striking AI Aqua accents, a signature blue introduced with the MC20, are elegantly incorporated into the rubber strap's seam. These blue highlights provide a refined contrast against the dark carbon case, elevating the watch's aesthetic beyond mere decoration.

Crafted from high-density carbon, the case measures a sleek 40mm in width, 47.39mm in length, and a mere 9.9mm in thickness. Weighing an incredibly light 36 grams without its strap, the watch features integrated carbon crown guards and sapphire crystals on both the bezel and caseback, ensuring durability and a water resistance of 50 meters. Owners have the choice of an integrated carbon bracelet or a rubber strap secured with a folding clasp, both designed for optimal comfort and style.

Powering this exquisite timepiece is the Bianchet UT01 calibre, an automatic flying tourbillon movement meticulously hand-finished. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it provides a robust power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The movement's slim profile, just 3.85mm thick, allows the visible tourbillon cage on the dial side to become a central element of the display. The finishing details, including sandblasted, brushed, and polished surfaces with hand-bevelled edges, along with the use of grade 5 titanium for the main plate and bridges, underscore Bianchet's commitment to both aesthetics and weight reduction. Engineered for resilience, the watch can withstand shocks up to 5,000G, demonstrating its exceptional performance and reliability.

This exclusive timepiece is a limited edition of just 100 units, commemorating the centenary of Maserati's iconic Trident logo. While the exact price is yet to be finalized, it is anticipated to be around CHF 70,000. This collaborative creation is not just a watch; it's a celebration of engineering prowess and design harmony, blending the best of both worlds for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
