Eight years prior, Alexander Grouet settled in Bienne, having spent his formative years in Paris and nearly a decade in Senegal, a country he affectionately refers to as his "country of heart." Despite his professional life in technology in Zurich, he found himself increasingly captivated by the subtle, yet vibrant, watch culture prevalent in his new hometown. This fascination eventually led him to establish Time Files, a personal online platform chronicling the artisans, narratives, and daily horological rhythms of Bienne and its environs. Last year, Alexander initiated The Charity Watch Sale, an event that successfully garnered 54 watches and raised over $25,000 for Terre des hommes, demonstrating the profound potential of community-driven philanthropy.

This year, bolstered by the dedication of a volunteer watchmaker and an expanding network of community supporters, Grouet has amassed a collection of 102 watches, with 95 meticulously verified for sale following technical assessments. The diverse assortment includes everything from popular Flik Flaks and Casios to luxury timepieces by brands such as Panerai, Blancpain, and even a distinguished Daniel Roth. Some of these items will be available at set prices, while others will be featured in a newly introduced auction format. Furthermore, several regional watch manufacturers, including TAG Heuer, Tissot, Certina, Formex, Christopher Ward, and Horage, have directly contributed pieces to this charitable event.
