Blancpain recently unveiled its most complex timepiece to date, the Grande Double Sonnerie, a remarkable achievement in horological engineering. Developed over eight years, this watch commands a price exceeding $2 million and integrates an innovative dual-melody chiming mechanism, a flying tourbillon, and a perpetual calendar. The intricate movement comprises 1,053 individual components, showcasing the brand's commitment to precision and innovation.

A standout feature of this timepiece is its 'Double' designation, signifying its unique ability to produce two distinct four-tone melodies. Enthusiasts can choose between the classic Westminster chime or an original composition by musician and watch collector Eric Singer. Adjusting the calendar is also made effortless through patented under-lug correctors, eliminating the need for specialized tools. Due to the intensive hand-finishing and assembly required, production of the Grande Double Sonnerie is strictly limited to just two units per year, available in either red or white gold, solidifying its status as a pinnacle of Blancpain's technical prowess.
