As the 44th annual Mille Miglia historic re-enactment commences, bringing together over 400 classic automobiles for a journey from Brescia to Rome, Chopard marks the occasion with a new limited-edition timepiece. The Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu – 2026 Racing Edition, limited to 250 units, captures the spirit of this legendary event. The watch's most striking feature is its captivating vintage blue-gray dial, reminiscent of the dashboards found in iconic racing cars like the Ferrari 250 GT Coupé Boano. This release continues a tradition that began in 1988 with the first Mille Miglia watch, a 33mm quartz monopusher chronograph, solidifying Chopard's long-standing connection with the race, driven by co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele's passion for classic cars.

The Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu – 2026 Racing Edition is a blend of modern design and automotive heritage. Its 43mm Lucent Steel case, featuring a blend of brushed and polished finishes, and a moderately thin 11.43mm profile, offers a contemporary yet comfortable fit. The watch's design elements, such as the protected screw-down crown with an engraved steering wheel motif and a fixed bezel with a black aluminum insert, further enhance its classic racing appeal. The watch is powered by the COSC-certified Chopard 01.08-C automatic caliber, manufactured in Fleurier Ebauches workshops, providing a 60-hour power reserve and visible through a display case back. This movement showcases industrial-style finishing, decorated bridges, polished beveled edges, and a skeletonized rotor, exemplifying precision and craftsmanship.

This exclusive timepiece, priced at €7,940 / US$8,350 / £6,730 / CHF 6,900, is fitted with a black technical textile strap featuring Chopard's signature tire-tread-pattern rubber lining and a Lucent Steel folding clasp. The dial’s blue-gray hue and subtle texture evoke the romance of classic Italian motoring. The watch also subtly nods to the race's history, including the tragic 1957 incident that led to the event's transformation from a speed race into a historic re-enactment. This limited-edition watch is a testament to the enduring allure of classic cars and Chopard's commitment to capturing that essence in a sophisticated timepiece.

The Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu – 2026 Racing Edition beautifully encapsulates the essence of high-performance automotive history and fine watchmaking. It celebrates passion, precision, and the timeless beauty of engineering, reminding us that true craftsmanship transcends eras and continues to inspire awe and admiration.
