Dennison and Collectability Launch Limited-Edition Oblique Collection
Dennison and Collectability have once again teamed up to unveil a remarkable new limited-edition watch collection, the Oblique. Following the success of their previous ALD series, this latest collaboration introduces an innovative asymmetric design across two distinct models: the Oblique Enigma and the Oblique Vector. Each timepiece offers a unique aesthetic, characterized by a refined case profile and meticulously crafted dials, powered by reliable Swiss quartz movements. These exclusive watches are available for a brief pre-order window, making them a covetable addition for enthusiasts seeking distinctive design and accessible luxury.
The partnership between Dennison and Collectability continues to push creative boundaries in watchmaking. This year, they present four new watches developed in collaboration with designer Emmanuel Gueit and Patek Philippe expert John Reardon. The collection features a novel asymmetric case and dial, setting it apart from their earlier work. While last year's ALD models were notable for their stepped dials, the Oblique series takes this a step further, integrating asymmetry as a core design element. Both the Oblique Enigma and Oblique Vector are offered in natural stainless steel or a luxurious gold PVD finish, providing options to suit different tastes.
The Oblique Enigma, the more traditional of the two new models, draws inspiration from the stepped dial aesthetic seen in the previous ALD editions. Its cushion-shaped case, though similar to its predecessor, features slightly reduced dimensions with a 35mm length and 33.65mm width, resulting in an almost square appearance. Measuring a slender 6.05mm in thickness, the Enigma is designed for comfort and easily slips under a shirt cuff. The dial of the Oblique Enigma is particularly striking, featuring two distinct color zones separated by a diamond-cut bevel. The outer part displays a vibrant green sunburst finish, while the inner section boasts a rich blue sunburst, creating a visually engaging contrast. Depending on the chosen variant, the watch features either silver or gold-toned bevels and hands, further enhancing its sophisticated appeal.
Complementing the Enigma is the Oblique Vector, which shares the same innovative asymmetric dial shape but opts for a more subdued, monochromatic aesthetic. Unlike the Enigma’s dual-tone and beveled dial, the Vector presents a single-color sunburst finish without a separating bevel. To maintain visual interest and accentuate its unique form, the Vector incorporates 12 printed lines that subtly echo the layout of a classic sector dial. This design choice results in a cohesive and understated look where the dial seamlessly matches the case, offering a different interpretation of the asymmetric concept. Both models feature spade hour hands and leaf minute hands, powered by a Swiss-made Ronda 1062 quartz caliber, renowned for its six-year battery life, ensuring longevity and minimal maintenance. To preserve the clean dial design, all branding is discreetly placed on the snap-on case back. Each watch is water-resistant to 30 meters and comes paired with an embossed leather strap, secured by a matching cushion-shaped buckle.
Wearing the new Dennison + Collectability Oblique models provides a unique experience. Despite their distinctive design, they remain highly wearable and elegant, fitting comfortably on wrists of various sizes. The slim profile and rounded edges contribute to a seamless fit, almost like a second skin, once the initial stiffness of the strap subsides. The polished case and the bold asymmetric dial ensure that the watch makes a statement without being overly ostentatious. The choice between the colorful Enigma and the subtle Vector allows for personal expression, catering to different moods and preferences. With a price point of €675 / US$790 / CHF 620, these limited-edition pieces offer an enticing opportunity to experiment with a more adventurous and unique timepiece. For those interested, the watches are exclusively available for pre-order through Dennison's official website from May 27th to June 3rd, 2026.
