Formex Unveils AirField Automatic 40mm Titanium Pilot's Watch

Formex, a renowned Swiss watchmaker, has unveiled its latest creation for 2026: the AirField Automatic 40mm. This new timepiece ingeniously re-imagines the brand's popular titanium field watch as a pilot's model, incorporating significant updates to its dial, hands, and movement. The AirField distinguishes itself with a refined aviation-themed appearance while maintaining the ruggedness and water resistance characteristic of Formex's durable field watches.

From a construction standpoint, the AirField Automatic shares the robust external specifications of Formex's Field Automatic 40mm series. Its case is expertly crafted from sandblasted grade 2 titanium, further enhanced with a 900Hv hardened surface coating for superior resilience. Key dimensions remain consistent, featuring a 40mm diameter, 10.5mm thickness, 20mm lug width, and a 48mm lug-to-lug measurement. The watch is protected by a flat sapphire crystal, and its reverse side is secured by a solid screw-down caseback. Additionally, a screw-down crown ensures an impressive water resistance of 150 meters, making it suitable for various demanding environments.

The AirField's dial showcases a more utilitarian, grain-textured surface available in Desert Sand, Horizon Blue, Jet Black, and Tarmac Grey.
