Feb 23, 2026, 2:45 PM

In a compelling fusion of vintage inspiration and contemporary watchmaking, Habring² and SJX Watches have joined forces to introduce the Chrono-Felix Medicus. This limited-edition monopusher chronograph not only pays homage to classic medical timepieces but also marks several design and mechanical firsts for Habring². Beyond its intricate details and sophisticated movement, this collaboration carries a philanthropic spirit, with a portion of each sale dedicated to children's medical charities.

The Habring² x SJX Chrono-Felix Medicus: A Detailed Overview

The latest collaboration between Habring² and SJX Watches, the Chrono-Felix Medicus, was unveiled on February 23, 2026. This release builds upon their successful 2021 partnership, the Erwin "Star" SJX Edition, and delves into the renowned Chrono-Felix platform. Unlike previous iterations that often focused on dial variations, this new series introduces significant modifications.

The Chrono-Felix Medicus draws inspiration from vintage medical chronographs, featuring a multi-scale layout and a pulsation scale. It is offered in two distinct variants, each limited to 25 pieces: one with a sophisticated grey dial accented by pink gold-plated elements, and another with a crisp silver dial complemented by polished blued accents. The grey dial variant is housed in a sandblasted stainless steel case, reminiscent of vintage chrome-plated watch cases that acquire a unique patina over time. The silver dial version comes in a brushed stainless steel case. Both cases measure 38.5mm in diameter and 11.2mm in thickness (8.75mm excluding the domed box sapphire crystal).

A notable "first" for Habring² in this collection is the inclusion of a single 30-minute counter positioned at 12 o'clock. The watches also feature a new case design with a flat, single-step bezel. The dial boasts classic Breguet numerals, lending a timeless elegance, and is further enhanced by a vertically brushed finish, a snailed subdial, and a snailed outer track. A deliberate minimization of branding on the dial echoes the understated charm of unsigned vintage chronographs.

Powering these exquisite timepieces is the Habring² A11C-H0 caliber. This manually wound 4Hz monopusher movement is visible through a display caseback, revealing meticulous hand-finishing. While not as elaborate as movements found in significantly more expensive watches, the finishing—including polished edges, perlage, and steel chronograph components refined by independent watchmaker Pöhlmann-Bresan—offers exceptional value. The caliber incorporates a fine tangential screw adjustment and an amagnetic escapement with a Carl Haas balance hairspring of chronometer quality. The caseback also features a numbered limited edition inscription alongside the Rod of Asclepius, a symbol of healing and medicine, with the SJX logo prominently displayed at the top.

The Habring² x SJX Chrono-Felix Medicus is priced at €7,750 or $9,250 before taxes. A 40% deposit is required upon order, with deliveries scheduled between May and July 2026, based on the order sequence. These limited-edition watches can be acquired directly through SJX Watches or the legendary Japanese retailer Shellman in Tokyo. As a gesture of goodwill, €700 from each watch sale will be donated to children's medical charities in Singapore and Austria, with Habring² and SJX Watches each contributing €350. The donations for pre-ordered watches have already been directed to children's cancer charities.

This collaboration exemplifies a thoughtful approach to watch design, combining aesthetic appeal with a commitment to social responsibility. The meticulous attention to detail, the nod to vintage styles, and the charitable contributions make the Chrono-Felix Medicus a truly special release for collectors and enthusiasts alike. It reminds us that luxury can indeed be intertwined with purpose, creating not just beautiful objects, but also contributing positively to the world.
