Dubai Watch Week 2025, marking a decade since its inception and 75 years for Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, proved to be a significant convergence for watch enthusiasts, brands, and journalists globally. What began as a focused educational event for collectors has blossomed into a pivotal international watch fair. The 2025 edition underscored this evolution, presenting an ambitious lineup that highlighted exceptional creativity and audacious designs. This selection of timepieces reflects the fair's growing influence in inspiring fresh ideas and pushing the boundaries of watchmaking.

Among the standout presentations was Bulgari's collaboration with Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej, resulting in a striking Octo Finissimo limited to 70 pieces. This titanium watch serves as a canvas for laser-engraved Arabic calligraphy, drawing inspiration from a quote by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The flowing lines transform the case and bracelet into a unified sculptural object, adding depth and dimension to the familiar sandblasted surfaces. Powered by the ultra-thin manufacture caliber BVL 138, which measures just 2.23mm in height and offers a 60-hour power reserve via a micro-rotor, this timepiece truly bridges culture, craftsmanship, and contemporary design. The Mattar Bin Lahej x Octo Finissimo, priced at approximately $26,609, epitomizes a unique blend of heritage and modern horology.

Biver made a strong return to Dubai Watch Week with an expanded Automatique collection, elevating the dress watch into an arena of high artisanal craft. The brand introduced eleven new references in gold and platinum, exploring traditional techniques, rare natural stones, and a contemporary purity of form. The 39mm cases, with a slim 10mm height and 80-meter water resistance, feature sapphire backs that reveal the automatic manufacture caliber JCB-003-A. Developed in partnership with Dubois-Dépraz, the movement boasts a 22-karat gold micro-rotor, a frequency of 25,250 vph, and a 65-hour power reserve. A particularly captivating variant is the Automatique Clous de Paris, which showcases a platinum case and a deep blue sunburst dial enriched by an applied clous-de-paris guilloché pattern. This intricate pattern, crafted on historical rose engines, adds texture and luminosity, highlighting Biver's seamless integration of classical artistry with modern design. This model, paired with a Rustico leather strap, is valued at approximately $105,246.

Armin Strom unveiled a new, exquisitely skeletonized version of its signature hand-wound timepiece, offering a seven-day power reserve. Limited to 50 pieces, the One Week Skeleton Rose Gold showcases the intricate mechanical heart through its openworked architecture, celebrating the brand's dedication to traditional skeletonization. Encased in a 41mm solid 18k rose gold case, this watch exudes a warm and festive elegance. Its ARM21 caliber, an evolution of the brand's first in-house movement, ensures reliable timekeeping at 3.5 Hz with two stacked barrels. A conical winding system and a three-dimensional power reserve display pay homage to historical pocket watch mechanisms. Each component is meticulously hand-finished, featuring anglage, Geneva stripes, and polished screw countersinks, exemplifying Armin Strom's unwavering commitment to haute horlogerie. The One Week Skeleton Rose Gold is priced at approximately $58,200.

Ressence introduced the Type 1° Round Rose Gold, a piece that brings its distinctive orbital display to a rose-gold dial for the first time. This limited edition of 70 pieces features a 42.7mm titanium case and a convex, salmon-hued face where silver-toned satellites intuitively indicate hours, seconds, and the day of the week. The watch is powered by an automatic ETA movement combined with Ressence's Orbital Convex System (ROCS) module, ensuring precise synchronization across its rotating discs. Its elegant, pebble-like case is only 11mm thick and is complemented by a light grey kudu leather strap. This innovative timepiece, with its minimalist yet highly functional design, is priced at approximately $23,000, excluding taxes.

H. Moser & Cie. presented the Streamliner Perpetual Moon Concept Meteorite, a limited edition of 70 pieces. This watch features a 40mm steel cushion case with an integrated bracelet and a striking golden meteorite dial, a first for the brand, enhanced by Moser's signature fumé effect. The automatic HMC 270 caliber provides a power reserve of at least 72 hours and powers an exceptionally precise perpetual moon phase, requiring adjustment only once every 1,027 years. The design is minimalist yet expressive, devoid of logos and indices, allowing the rotating discs, Globolight accents, and red gold hands to convey time and moon phase in a refined, celestial manner. Priced at $43,700, this watch beautifully encapsulates Moser's sophisticated approach to haute horlogerie.

Bremont unveiled a refined version of its Terra Nova Jumping Hour, featuring a deep blue aventurine dial meticulously cut, polished, and mounted on metal—a technique rarely seen in such watches. Encased in a 40.5mm frosted 904L stainless steel case, the textured finish subtly scatters light, creating a crystalline effect. Powered by Bremont's BC634 jumping-hour caliber with a 56-hour power reserve, the hour disc, along with two windows for hours and minutes and a luminescent central seconds hand, advances in less than a tenth of a second. This limited edition of 50 pieces is priced at $10,300, offering a blend of technical innovation and artistic dial craftsmanship.

Perrelet continued its tradition of artist collaborations with a new Turbine limited edition, created in partnership with Emirati calligrapher Diaa Allam. Unveiled at Dubai Watch Week and limited to 50 pieces, the Perrelet X Diaa Allam watch features Arabic-script numerals and a vibrant lower dial inspired by traditional palm-leaf wickerwork. Twelve black anodized aluminum blades spin with wrist motion, revealing the intricate Arabic calligraphy beneath. Housed in a 41mm DLC-coated Grade 2 titanium case and water-resistant to 100 meters, it is powered by the in-house P-331-MH automatic caliber, certified by both COSC and Chronofiable institutions, offering a 42-hour power reserve. This unique fusion of art and mechanics is priced at approximately $6,500.

To commemorate their significant anniversaries—75 years for Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons and 25 years for Gerald Charles—the partners introduced two limited-edition Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin models, each featuring a distinct natural stone dial. The Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin “Tiger’s Eye” highlights the warm, shifting golden tones of Tiger’s Eye, while the “Malachite” variant displays the deep green striations of malachite. Both dials intentionally forgo indices, allowing the natural materials to be the central focus within Gerald Charles' signature Maestro architecture. Each watch is crafted in a new brown "Colormix" case finish developed specifically for this collaboration and is water-resistant to 100 meters. Both editions maintain elegant proportions, measuring 39mm in diameter and just 8mm thick, and are powered by the beautifully decorated GCA2000 self-winding calibers, each providing a 50-hour power reserve. Pricing for these exclusive timepieces is available upon request.

Frederique Constant utilized Dubai Watch Week 2025 to launch a new, more dramatic interpretation of its 37mm Classics Moneta Moonphase. This latest edition features a glossy black lacquer dial contrasted with a gold-tone stainless-steel case, enhancing the collection's interplay of light and shadow. The Moneta concept remains central, with the coin-inspired fluted bezel positioned beneath the sapphire crystal as an elevated inner ring, subtly reinterpreting traditional Geneva design elements. A moonphase display at 6 o'clock stands out against a deep blue sky, accompanied by polished Dauphine hour and minute hands, and the absence of a seconds hand reinforces the watch's understated character. The quartz FC-206 movement provides up to five years of battery life, and the watch is fitted with a black calfskin strap. This elegant timepiece is priced at $1,495.

The 2025 Dubai Watch Week was a showcase of exceptional craftsmanship and groundbreaking design, solidifying its position as a key event in the global horological calendar. From Bulgari's artistic collaborations to Biver's artisanal expansions and Armin Strom's skeletonized marvels, the fair presented a diverse array of timepieces that captivated attendees. Ressence's innovative orbital display, H. Moser & Cie.'s celestial moon phase, Bremont's aventurine dial, Perrelet's calligraphic Turbine, Gerald Charles' natural stone creations, and Frederique Constant's elegant moonphase all contributed to a vibrant demonstration of the industry's ongoing evolution and commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
