IWC Schaffhausen, renowned for its extensive heritage in crafting pilot's watches, embarks on an ambitious new frontier with the introduction of the Pilot's Venturer Vertical Drive. For Watches & Wonders 2026, the brand has partnered with VAST, a company dedicated to developing next-generation space stations, to create a timepiece explicitly engineered for the unique challenges of space travel. This innovative watch represents a significant evolution from IWC's traditional aviation timepieces, designed from inception to function flawlessly in the zero-gravity environment of space, while also proving highly capable for everyday wear on Earth.

This pioneering collaboration with VAST, an entity at the forefront of establishing long-term habitable space stations like the upcoming Haven-1 and its future expansions, highlights the watch's specialized purpose. The Pilot's Venturer Vertical Drive is encased in white zirconium oxide ceramic, a material IWC has extensive expertise with since 1986, complemented by a rotating bezel and caseback made from Ceratanium.
