Feb 10, 2026, 2:29 AM

Jewelers of America (JA) has officially commenced the entry period for its esteemed 2026 CASE Awards. This national competition celebrates exceptional talent in jewelry design, honoring individuals who demonstrate unparalleled creativity, artistic skill, distinctive style, and overall excellence. The program is specifically tailored for employees affiliated with JA Member retailers and suppliers, and notably, it now extends its invitation to members of MJSA. Submissions will be accepted from February 9 through March 20, 2026.

Amanda Gizzi, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Jewelers of America, expressed enthusiasm for the expanded scope of the awards. She highlighted the significance of the CASE Awards as a vital platform for acknowledging and showcasing the artistic and design prowess within their membership. With MJSA's integration into the JA family, this expansion allows for a broader recognition of the remarkable talent across the consolidated organization.

The competition structure categorizes entries into Retail Member and Supplier Member divisions, each with distinct pricing tiers based on the retail value of the jewelry. These tiers include pieces valued up to $5,000, from $5,001 to $10,000, from $10,001 to $20,000, and from $20,001 to $75,000. This tiered system ensures fair evaluation across different market segments and price points.

The judging process is comprehensive, involving two main stages. Initially, a virtual pre-judging round will assess all submitted entries. Following this preliminary evaluation, selected finalists will be invited to present their physical jewelry pieces for a final review. A panel of seasoned industry experts will meticulously evaluate each submission, focusing on several key criteria: the ingenuity of the overall design, its marketability, practicality for wear, and the superior quality of its manufacture. Winners will be chosen from each of the specified pricing categories, and two standout pieces will be awarded the prestigious “Best in Show” title, one for a retailer and one for a supplier.

Recipients of the CASE Awards will be honored with a bespoke trophy and will gain substantial exposure through national trade and consumer media. Furthermore, they will benefit from a range of additional promotional opportunities, including targeted social media and digital marketing campaigns designed to highlight all winning entries. The CASE Awards, proudly supported by Synchrony, exclusively invites entries from employees of JA Member companies and MJSA Members, reinforcing its commitment to its community.

The CASE Awards serve as a beacon of excellence within the jewelry industry, fostering innovation and celebrating the intricate craftsmanship that defines fine jewelry. By recognizing outstanding design and manufacturing quality, the competition not only elevates the profiles of individual designers but also inspires advancements across the entire sector. The inclusion of MJSA members further strengthens the collective talent pool, ensuring that a wider array of creative achievements are brought into the spotlight. This initiative underscores the commitment of Jewelers of America to nurturing and promoting the finest artistic and technical achievements in jewelry making, enhancing the industry's reputation for beauty, quality, and innovation.
