JGW September Trade Fair Sees Significant Increase in Attendance

The Jewellery & Gem World (JGW) Hong Kong September exhibition recently concluded with a remarkable 4.5% increase in buyer participation, attracting 57,632 attendees across its dual venues. Informa Markets, the organizer, highlighted this positive trend as a testament to the event's growing international appeal.

Held over an extended period, the B2B event showcased approximately 3,000 exhibitors from 46 countries and regions. The comprehensive display covered a wide spectrum of the industry, including leading names in diamonds, colored gemstones, and pearls, as well as renowned jewelers, high-end jewelry houses, and key suppliers of equipment and packaging, alongside cutting-edge technology providers.

The fair's global reach was evident, drawing visitors from 149 nations. Attendee demographics showed a balanced distribution, with Hong Kong, mainland China, and other international markets each contributing roughly one-third of the total visitors. Mainland China led the growth, with a 4.5% year-on-year increase in visitors, while North America saw a 24.2% rise, Europe a 13.4% increase, and Central Asia a significant 42.2% boost, underscoring the event's broad appeal.

The sustained growth in attendance at the JGW September event reflects the robust health of the global jewelry market and its interconnectedness. The diverse international participation, particularly the focused engagement from various regions, signifies a positive outlook for future trade and collaboration within the industry.
