Omega has once again showcased its unwavering dedication to the world of sports by unveiling a distinctive timepiece for the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. This special edition Seamaster Diver 300M, crafted in elegant white ceramic, not only symbolizes Omega's role as the Official Timekeeper for the event but also celebrates the spirit of the Paralympic movement. The watch, while retaining the esteemed technical specifications of its counterparts, introduces subtle yet meaningful design elements that honor the Games, further solidifying Omega's legacy in precision timekeeping for global athletic spectacles.

Omega's Latest Tribute: The Seamaster Diver 300M Paralympic Edition for Milano Cortina 2026

In a significant announcement coinciding with the conclusion of the Winter Games and the imminent start of the Paralympic Winter Games, Omega, the renowned Swiss watchmaker, has introduced a specialized version of its iconic Seamaster Diver 300M. This particular model pays homage to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, scheduled to captivate audiences from March 6th to 15th in the picturesque northern Italian region encompassing Milan and Cortina. This marks the 32nd occasion Omega has undertaken the crucial role of Official Timekeeper for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, a tradition that commenced for the Paralympic events in 1992.

The newly revealed watch, largely mirroring the specifications of the white ceramic Seamaster Diver 300M launched for the 2026 Winter Olympics, presents a winter-inspired aesthetic. It boasts a 43.5mm white ceramic case, measuring 14.37mm in thickness and 51.5mm lug-to-lug, complemented by titanium elements on the bezel, crown, and helium escape valve. The unidirectional bezel, also in white ceramic, features a laser-ablated diving scale. The dial stands out with a laser-engraved frosted finish, subtly incorporating a 'finger-trace' pattern derived from the '26' of the Milano Cortina 2026 emblem, visible under specific lighting conditions. A key differentiation is the vibrant central seconds hand, which transitions from a gradient blue to a striking varnished red, blue, and green, symbolizing the Paralympic colors. The rhodium-plated hands and hour markers are enhanced with white Super-LumiNova for optimal readability, all set against a clean, no-date white ceramic dial with dark blue accents for scales and logos.

The reverse side of the watch features a robust grade 5 titanium caseback, meticulously stamped with the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic emblem. This intricate design conceals Omega's Master Chronometer calibre 8806, an automatic in-house movement. Operating at a frequency of 3.5Hz, this movement offers a substantial 55-hour power reserve when fully wound. It is equipped with a co-axial escapement and a silicon hairspring, ensuring exceptional resistance to magnetic fields and superior precision, characteristic of Omega's innovative watchmaking. The timepiece is elegantly secured to the wrist with an integrated white rubber strap, fastened by a grade 5 titanium pin buckle. This special edition is not limited in production and is available at a price of CHF 8,200 (excluding VAT) or EUR 10,400 (including VAT).

This special edition Seamaster Diver not only serves as a remarkable instrument for timekeeping but also as a powerful symbol of support for the incredible athletes of the Paralympic Games. It reminds us of the dedication, strength, and precision required to excel at the highest levels of competitive sport, echoing the craftsmanship and reliability found within every Omega timepiece. This release inspires appreciation for both horological artistry and the human spirit's triumph.
