Moses's journey with the GIA began in 1976, after he successfully obtained his Graduate Gemologist diploma, joining the Institute's Santa Monica laboratory. His career progressed as he moved to New York City to work alongside his mentor, Robert Crowningshield, a globally recognized expert in gemology. Throughout his distinguished career, Moses held numerous leadership positions within the GIA and was a prolific contributor, co-authoring over 100 technical articles for 'Gems & Gemology' and various other peer-reviewed publications. He was the driving force behind the GIA's international expansion, transforming it into a global leader in gemological education and research, with a network of 10 laboratories and seven schools operating across 10 countries. His leadership was further acknowledged in 2002 with the prestigious Richard T.
