Tiffany & Co. continues its legacy of blending heritage with contemporary design, introducing a new watch collection that pays homage to an iconic mid-century creation. Following its recent showcase at LVMH Watch Week, the renowned American jeweler has unveiled a series of timepieces that draw inspiration from Jean Schlumberger's distinctive paillonné enamel bangles, originally introduced in 1962. This latest release integrates a miniature version of these celebrated enamel designs directly onto the watch dial, offering a fresh interpretation of a classic.

The newly launched Enamel Watch collection is comprised of three exclusive editions, each boasting a meticulously diamond-encrusted dial. A standout feature is the rotating ring of paillonné enamel, available in Tiffany’s signature robin’s egg blue or a pristine milky white. This intricate enamel work is embellished with the line’s characteristic cross-stitch pattern, crafted from 18-karat yellow gold, with twelve such motifs marking the hours. Notably, this unique ring dynamically rotates with the wearer's movements, adding an engaging element to the design. The creation of each piece is a testament to skilled craftsmanship, involving 65 hours of labor, with 55 dedicated to the complex three-stage enameling process—often repeated to achieve the perfect iconic blue hue—and 10 hours for meticulously crafting and setting the golden stitches. Complementing the rotating ring is a stationary central dial disc, adorned with 18-karat yellow-gold hands. The elegant 36 mm case is offered in either 18-karat white gold or 18-karat yellow gold, allowing for personal preference, while the strap options include a Tiffany blue or white alligator leather, alongside a luxurious diamond-studded variant.

This collection is part of Tiffany's broader strategy of reinterpreting its historical archives, echoing previous tributes such as last September's fine and high-jewelry collections inspired by Schlumberger's 'Bird on a Rock' design, and the limited-edition Tiffany Blue chronograph released earlier this month, which revived elements from the brand’s first chronograph 160 years ago. Each new release not only celebrates the brand's storied past but also reinforces its position at the forefront of luxury watchmaking, showcasing how timeless designs can be reimagined for a contemporary audience while upholding unparalleled craftsmanship and artistic vision. This thoughtful engagement with its heritage allows Tiffany to continue creating pieces that are both historically rich and refreshingly modern, inviting appreciation for the artistry and dedication inherent in every creation.
