Tsar Bomba's innovative Parallax collection presents a fresh perspective on watch design, merging high-performance engineering with an aesthetic that cleverly plays with perception.

Experience a New Dimension of Timekeeping with Parallax

Unveiling the Parallax: A New Horizon in Horological Design

The concept of parallax, the apparent displacement of an object when viewed from different angles, serves as the muse for Tsar Bomba's newest horological offering, the Parallax. This timepiece is a testament to cutting-edge engineering and material science, featuring advanced components such as ceramic and carbon fiber. The Parallax distinguishes itself as a contemporary triple calendar watch, ingeniously incorporating an expansive power reserve gauge and a 24-hour display. Its striking, geometric casing perfectly complements a sophisticated, multi-tiered dial, designed to visibly underscore the intricate operations of its automatic mechanical heart.

Innovative Case Construction and Diverse Material Options

The avant-garde casing of the Tsar Bomba Parallax boasts a meticulously sculpted, angular profile. The dimensions are 43.2mm in width, extending 51.3mm from lug to lug, with an overall depth of 14.1mm. For its initial launch, Tsar Bomba offers the Parallax in three distinct color variations. Each of these models features a stainless steel core with a matte-black finish, but differentiates itself through the material chosen for its bezel. A monochromatic variant is available with a carbon fiber bezel, while two other models feature ceramic bezels: one in a sleek grey and another in an eye-catching Lake Blue hue.

A Unique Dial Layout and Enhanced Protection

In a departure from conventional watch displays, the Tsar Bomba Parallax divides its front face into distinct sections. The prominent power reserve indicator is presented through a graceful arch-shaped aperture at the upper part of the watch. Meanwhile, the core time-telling functions, alongside the triple-calendar and 24-hour displays, are intricately arranged within a multi-layered architectural structure, showcased through a separate, elaborately shaped opening positioned beneath the power reserve. To safeguard its dual display system, the Parallax is equipped with resilient sapphire crystals, and offers a water resistance of 50 meters, ensuring protection against everyday moisture exposure.

Precision Movement and User-Friendly Adjustments

To streamline the adjustment of its calendar features, the Tsar Bomba Parallax incorporates an additional button for month setting, conveniently situated adjacent to the winding crown on the 3 o'clock side of the case. Furthermore, a small viewing window is integrated into the caseback, offering enthusiasts a glimpse into the watch's fully mechanical internal workings. Powering the Parallax is the self-winding Miyota Caliber 9100, which operates at a frequency of 4Hz and provides a 40-hour power reserve. Notably, the day, month, and 24-hour indicators have been expertly modified to function in an arc-shaped motion, a design choice that facilitates the creation of the Parallax's distinctive multi-layered dial.

Integrated Strap Design and Diverse Styling

Each of the three variations of the Tsar Bomba Parallax is complemented by a meticulously matched FKM rubber strap. This strap is designed for seamless integration with the watch's sculptured case silhouette, enhancing its cohesive aesthetic. Equipped with a deployant-style folding clasp, the strap features strategically placed ventilation holes to ensure maximum comfort on the wrist. Attachment to the case is facilitated by Tsar Bomba's signature quick-release mechanism, allowing owners to effortlessly interchange straps without the need for specialized tools, simply by engaging the two buttons located on the underside of the strap's end pieces.

Evolving Design Philosophy and Market Positioning

The Parallax marks a notable evolution in Tsar Bomba's product line, presenting a distinct departure from previous models such as the Sunk Works T1. While the Parallax emphasizes its case architecture and selectively highlights its internal mechanics, the Sunk Works T1, with its dramatic 44mm bubble-shaped profile, focuses on maximizing negative space to prominently display its skeletonized automatic movement. The Parallax champions a bold exterior form with subtle nods to its complex interior through its multi-layered display, whereas the Tsar Bomba Sunk Works T1 aims to construct an elaborate mechanical tableau within a relatively understated outer shell. The brand's "Dark Matter" series, launched in 2024, has seen steady expansion, now encompassing a range from minimalist skeletonized designs to sophisticated carbon fiber chronographs powered by Swiss-made automatic movements. Known for its modular case designs that allow for interchangeable bezels, crowns, and straps, the Dark Matter series also underpins the transparent Chronite and sapphire-cased Light Matter watch. Positioned with an official price of $2,500 USD, the Tsar Bomba Parallax is priced below the Sunk Works T1 ($3,000 USD), placing it squarely within the mid-range of the Dark Matter series, which spans from $749.99 USD to $4,999.99 USD for its premium, Swiss-movement-equipped offerings.
