The Freak X, a previous evolution, aimed to make this unique "hands-free" time display accessible to a broader audience by reintroducing a conventional crown. Unlike the previous generation's modular titanium, these new models utilize a monobloc steel case, allowing for intricate polished details and a luxurious interplay of brushed and sandblasted surfaces. At the heart of the Freak [X] is the entirely new UN-232 manufacture caliber. This innovative movement retains the iconic flying carousel for minute indication and a rotating disc for hours but is now slimmer and more mechanically advanced. Its reduced dimensions allow for a more wearable 41mm case, topped with a new sapphire crystal for an unobstructed view of the intricate movement. The caliber's redesigned modular architecture opens up possibilities for future artistic dial variations. A significant technical highlight is the introduction of a DIAMonSIL escapement, which applies an ultra-hard protective layer to silicon components, drastically improving durability and efficiency.
