Breitling Reimagines the Chronomat Line for Enhanced Style and Wearability

Breitling has unveiled a refined Chronomat collection, introducing a refreshed aesthetic that builds upon its 2020 update. This latest iteration encompasses a diverse range of 22 variants, spanning chronographs, time-and-date models, and various material and dial color combinations. The new lineup is divided into three primary categories: the Chronomat B01 42 chronograph, the Chronomat Automatic B31 40, and the Chronomat Automatic 36.

A significant highlight of this refresh is the introduction of the Chronomat Automatic B31 40, marking the first 40mm time-and-date Chronomat. This size is anticipated to offer broad appeal, blending the line's assertive design with enhanced wearability. The B31 caliber, previously seen in other Breitling models, makes its Chronomat debut here. Furthermore, the overall design language emphasizes a softer, more integrated case and bracelet, moving away from conventional lugs to a more fluid, tonneau-shaped profile. This change, coupled with reduced case thicknesses across the collection, aims to significantly improve comfort and ergonomics for wearers. For instance, the Chronomat B01 42 chronograph's thickness has been trimmed from 15.1mm to 13.77mm, while the Chronomat Automatic 36 now measures 9.68mm, down from 10.01mm.
