Nov 05, 2026, 11:58 PM

Brilliant Earth, a prominent jewelry retailer, has reported a noteworthy surge in its third-quarter financial results, demonstrating robust sales figures and a significant boost in profitability. This positive trend is primarily attributed to the company's strategic expansion into the fine jewelry market, which is increasingly gaining traction among consumers. Concurrently, its wedding and anniversary band collections achieved unprecedented success, marking their strongest quarter to date.

According to the recent investor presentation on November 5th, Brilliant Earth's net sales reached $112.8 million for the third quarter, a commendable 2.3% increase from the $110.3 million reported in the same period last year. Both revenue and adjusted EBITDA surpassed the company's projections, underscoring effective operational management and market responsiveness. The San Francisco-based enterprise also transitioned from a net loss of $672,000 last year to a net income of $2.4 million, reflecting a strong financial turnaround. Gross margin saw an improvement to 59.7% from 57.6%, and adjusted EBITDA grew to $5.1 million from $3.6 million. Despite a slight decrease in average order value to $2,140, the total number of orders rose by 5.6%, indicating a healthy volume of customer engagement.

The company also highlighted the strong performance of its brick-and-mortar stores, including its flagship location in Beverly Hills. Bookings from walk-in customers increased by approximately 50% year-over-year, with fine jewelry bookings from this segment rising by about 37%. Notably, the newly opened San Antonio showroom recorded the highest volume of walk-in bookings among all locations within its initial 13 weeks. Fine jewelry now constitutes roughly 16% of total bookings, showcasing its growing importance within the company's portfolio. Co-founder and CEO Beth Gerstein emphasized that innovative product lines, such as the Charms collection, new California Collection colors, the latest Jane Goodall collaboration, and a partnership with the Elizabeth Taylor estate, are instrumental in fostering customer relationships beyond traditional engagement rings. For the first nine months of 2026, sales climbed 4.6% to $327.4 million, and the company concluded the third quarter with a strong cash reserve of $76.2 million and zero debt. Looking ahead, Brilliant Earth anticipates full-year sales growth between 2.75% and 4%, with an adjusted EBITDA projected to be between $13 million and $15 million, based on current tariff rates and precious metal prices.

Brilliant Earth's impressive financial performance and strategic focus on diversifying its product offerings signal a promising future. By prioritizing both expansion into fine jewelry and enhancing the in-store customer experience, the company is not only achieving significant growth but also reinforcing its position as a forward-thinking leader in the retail jewelry sector. This commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction sets a positive example for the industry, illustrating how adaptability and a keen understanding of market demands can lead to sustained success and a brighter outlook.
