While high-end iterations within the premium MR-G series have previously offered luxurious touches, Casio's newest 2026 release, the G-SHOCK Luxe Black Collection, brings a heightened sense of style to more affordable price points. This collection features four distinct 2100 series models, all boasting black components elegantly contrasted with subtle metallic accents.

The four timepieces in the Casio G-SHOCK Luxe Black Collection are built upon the fundamental design of the original 2100 series. However, these updated versions are far more than mere color adjustments. Each model in the collection is equipped with a matte-black dial featuring a fine texture that minimizes glare. They also incorporate sleeker hands and extended hour markers, enhancing the sophisticated appeal of the GA2100’s analog/digital display. To further emphasize the collection's refined aesthetic, the hour markers on all four watches undergo a metallic vapor deposition process, adding a subtle brilliance to a design originally conceived as an exceptionally durable sports watch. The collection includes two GA2100 models, the GA2100LXB-1A and GA2100LXB-1A9, which boast a resin bezel, and two GM2100 models, the GM2100LXB-1A and GM2100LXB-1A9, featuring a more premium metal bezel.

All models in the Casio G-SHOCK Luxe Black Collection are powered by Module No. 5611, utilizing SR726W power cells for an approximate three-year battery life. Although this module does not include advanced features like solar charging or Bluetooth connectivity found in Casio’s higher-end movements, it provides essential functionalities such as a 1/100th-second stopwatch, countdown timer, five daily alarms, a world time mode covering 48 cities, and a double LED backlight. By offering the familiar interface and robustness of the original G-SHOCK GA2100 watches, these new Luxe Black Collection models provide an enhanced, subtly sophisticated appearance, broadening their appeal as versatile and aesthetically pleasing timepieces. The resin-bezel models are priced at $145 USD, while the metal-bezel variants are available for $260 USD, making elevated G-SHOCK style more accessible to a wider audience.
