TAG Heuer is redefining its chronograph heritage with the debut of the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph Air 1. This new timepiece showcases an innovative case structure crafted using additive manufacturing techniques common in the aerospace industry, paired with the brand's most advanced chronograph mechanism to date. With an incredibly lightweight titanium framework and distinctive geometric forms reminiscent of hypercar design, this limited-edition release signifies a pivotal moment for both the Monaco collection and TAG Heuer's broader commitment to crafting high-performance watches.

The Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph Air 1 features a 41mm square case that immediately distinguishes it from conventional watch designs. Developed through Selective Laser Melting by the TAG Heuer LAB, its construction creates an aerodynamic, hollowed-out appearance, as if sculpted by wind resistance. The intricate lattice design encasing the movement incorporates both Grade-5 titanium and solid yellow gold accents, forming an exoskeleton that draws inspiration from the engine covers of contemporary hypercars. Despite its elaborate detailing, the watch maintains an exceptionally light weight of only 85 grams, reinforcing its dedication to performance, a hallmark of motorsport. A transparent sapphire dial offers a view into the complex internal architecture, while a black DLC-coated bezel, meticulously sculpted pushers, golden hands and markers, and a gold split-seconds pusher at 9 o'clock all contribute to its sophisticated yet technically advanced aesthetic.

At the core of this innovative Monaco timepiece lies the Caliber TH81-00, a high-frequency automatic movement developed in collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. Key components of this movement are constructed from Grade-5 titanium, contributing to its remarkably light weight of just 30 grams, while providing a substantial 65-hour power reserve. Operating at 36,000 vibrations per hour, the movement powers a split-seconds function, allowing for the precise timing of two separate events simultaneously. The movement's haute horlogerie craftsmanship is further highlighted by hand-finished details, including the signature checkered-flag motif visible through the sapphire case back.

This exclusive model is limited to just 30 units and comes with a black rubber and Alcantara strap, secured by a DLC-coated titanium folding clasp. It is slated for release in December 2025, with a retail price of CHF 150,000.
