FHH Academy and GIA Partner to Offer Global Watchmaking Certification

A significant collaboration has been established between the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) and the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). This partnership aims to make the FHH Academy's prestigious watchmaking education accessible to GIA students across the globe. The initiative underscores a shared commitment to advancing knowledge and expertise within the horological field, catering to both aspiring professionals and enthusiasts.

Starting in early 2027, GIA will roll out FHH Academy programs through its extensive network of campuses and online learning platforms. The initial offering will include the Watch Advisor certification, which is the Academy's foundational level of accreditation, complemented by interactive sessions led by dedicated instructors. The FHH Academy boasts a comprehensive curriculum, covering everything from the foundational principles of watchmaking to its rich cultural heritage and advanced technical aspects. Since its inception, the Academy has educated over 50,000 individuals and certified more than 18,000 professionals in 20 countries. GIA, established in 1931, has a similar legacy, having trained over 200,000 professionals across its seven campuses in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

This strategic alliance follows the FHH's 20th anniversary in 2025, an occasion that saw the organization reiterate its dedication to expanding the reach of horological education beyond the confines of the watch industry.
